Nilde Forner Obituary
December 29, 1923 - December 11, 2023
Nilde Forner entered into rest at her home surrounded by family on December 11, 2023 at the age of 99. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Reno Forner.
Nilde was born in Monfumo, Italy and immigrated to America in 1950. She was predeceased by her siblings, Rita, Silvio, Tersila, Alfonso and Angelo. Survived by her four children, Bruno, Judy Woody (Bill), Edward (Barbara), and Tina Mondani (Dave).
Proud Nonnie to her cherished seven granddaughters, Andrea (Tony), Rachel (Russ), Laura (David), Katie (TJ), Lisa (Ray), Allison and Nicole; and her 10 great-grandchildren, Emma, Chloe, Riley, Claire, Reagan, Giovanni, Colin, Gemma, Emily and Liana.
Mom's greatest joy was taking care of her family; she loved to cook, knit and crochet blankets and had an abundant garden. We will remember her for being strong and resilient. Mom was 18 days away from her 100th birthday and her mind was sharp until the end.
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass on Tuesday, December 19 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dunstan Church, 1133 Broadway Ave., Millbrae. Committal at the Italian Cemetery, 540 F Street, Colma.
Her family requests donations be made to Meals on Wheels SF at www.mowsf.org/donate.
