Robert Cho

Robert Min Phoon Cho 1975 - 2011 Passed away after a 3 month battle with cancer on Monday, September 12 at 4:06pm. in San Francisco. He was surrounded by his family. He was 36 years old. Robert immigrated to the United States with his family in 1981 from Rangoon, Burma. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Samantha and their daughter, Chloe. Robert is also survived by his mother, Freda Swee Tin Fong Cho, father, Dr. Kok Liang Cho, brother, Richard, and sister, Mary. Having his family with him in his final days brought him peace and comfort. Robert graduated from San Francisco State University with a Masters in Biochemistry. He worked for a number of biotech companies before joining the AMGEN family. It is at AMGEN, where Robert felt most at home, and established his career as a scientist. Growing up in San Francisco, Robert made many lifelong friends. All of his friends would say he was honest, generous and caring. He was always there when you needed him. Robert's legacy will live on with his family and friends that he leaves behind. A Memorial service commemorating his life will be held at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave, Daly City, CA 94014 on Saturday September 17, 2011 from 9am-11:30am. Committal at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park , Colma.
