Robert John Ebert Native San Franciscan Lifelong Bay Area Resident April 15, 1923 - April 4, 2010 Peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2010 surrounded by his loving family and friends at the California Veteran's Home in Yountville, CA. Bob was born the son of Robert E. & Mary F. Ebert (Leahy) on April 15, 1923 at St Luke's Hospital in San Francisco. He attended Corpus Christi School, and then attended Balboa High School. In his younger days, he sold newspapers in front of the Granada Theatre, worked at the San Francisco Seals games, and later worked at SF 49ers games. Bob then married Vivian Ebert and had three children. Bob graduated from San Francisco State in Education and earned a Masters at Cal State Hayward in Administration. His teaching and coaching career included Balboa High School, Poly High School, John Swett High School in Crockett, and Monte Vista High School in Danville. In retirement, Bob worked at Golden Gate Fields and became a member of the Balboa "Legends".
