Shirley Anne Cassidy Bogue

November 2, 1932 - June 18,2015

Shirley passed away at home, surrounded by her family on June 18th at the age of 82 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease.
Shirley, a fourth generation San Franciscan, was preceded in death by loving parents, Joseph and Irene Cassidy; sister, Gloria Tricerri and in-laws John and Ruth Bogue.

Devoted and loving wife of 62 years to her soul mate, John (Jack) Bogue. Loving mother to children Judy and Christine; sons-in-law Scott Erickson and Kenneth Geist. Cherished grandmother to Nicole, Ashley and husband Scott Brittain, Scott Erickson; Emily and Megan Geist. Sister-in-law to Ruth Callen, Georgia and George Carrozzi, Jim Bogue, Tom Bogue, Mary Lou and Dick Fall, Caryl and George DeMerritt, Michael Bogue, Louis Tricerri and the late Kathleen Bogue, Maureen Bogue, Patricia Bogue, Nydia Bogue and Thomas Callen. Shirley is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Shirley will be remembered as an endearing, gracious and loving woman whose family was the light of her life. Her husband, daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren were her great pride and joy. The memory of her beautiful smile, quiet strength, grace and laughter will forever be in our hearts. She will be greatly missed by all.

The family extends their sincere thanks to the Bautista family, Carmen, James and Dianne, who devotedly cared for Shirley so many years. We are also grateful to Dr. Francis Charlton and his staff and to Pathways Hospice staff, especially Martha Rodriguez and Karina Schoultz for their kindness and dedicated medical, emotional and spiritual support.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 24th at 11:00 am at Saint Cecilia Church, 2555 Seventeenth Avenue at Vicente Street, San Francisco. In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances be made to Pathways Foundation, 585 North Mary Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94085 in memory of Shirley. Private interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
