I had the privilege of being his acting coach for awhile. He was courageous, smart, and dedicated; a unique and very lovely man. I was so happy to see him getting roles and fulfilling his dream. I am so very sorry to hear of his passing, and send my condolences to his family and friends.

Sterling was an old friend from High School in San Bruno. As everyone has already mentioned he was always a kind and giving person, and always UNIQUE!
Back around 1990 we decided to start a band and started, or attempting to play music in the back of a shack in San Bruno. At that time I never played any instrument in my life, but he stuck a bass guitar in my hands, and with encouragement from Sterling we forged ahead. Sterling inspired me to keep going and let me know that I could do it. It was the beginning of a long love affair I have with playing music. I have many great memories of Sterling that make me laugh and smile to this day, so I will keep his spirit
alive by always retelling the great times I had with him.

I had the pleasure of living next door to Sterling these last few years in LA, and you could not have asked for a nicer neighbor. He gave freely of himself, loved his dog, Buddy, and seemed at peace with himself and the world. I only wish we could have spent more time together. My deepest condolences to his family; he will be truly missed...

Sterling is a close friend I have known since high school in the mid-1970's. We share the same ethnic background (oriental mother and american father). We always had fun things to talk about whenever we had a chance to visit.

We (my brother Fred, Sterling and I) have many memorable experiences over the past 3 1/2 decades that I will always cherish and remember with a smile on my face. I will truly miss his presence in this world. I know he is in a better place now..

Sterling was a life-long friend starting in 6th grade at Parkside Jr High through most of our adult lives. We shared many experiences and adventures. He knew me very well and I will miss his presence in this world. He was my brother.

Sterling was so protective of me and always made me feel like family insisting he wanted to adopt me and I was honored and loved him very much. I was looking forward to finding gold in the river with him, but he was the gold and will forever be my guardian angel. Love you forever my angel. Glo from San Francisco

Sterling was one of the nicest people I've ever met. At EA we used to always kid around about how he was the only guy with an Atari Jaguar. Recently and after all these years I was able to get a hold of Sterling to tell him that I saw him on TV. You will be missed old friend.

I had the great opportunity to meet Sterling many years ago through our mutual friend Dana. I recently was able to visit with him when Dana's life was affected by the San Bruno fires. We all got together at Dana's place. It was great to see Sterling. He will most definitely be missed. My condolences and blessings to his family.
