Professor Wilson was an incredible professor. I graduated Cal Berkeley 30+ years ago and his class on Native Americans in Cinema stuck with me all these years. Condolences.

My deepest condolences to the family. I was a student in Dr. Wilson's Mixed Race in the U.S. course at UC Santa Cruz around 2000/01. He had such bright energy and enthusiasm. Dr. Wilson shared information and insights that have had a lifelong impact on me... I barely knew him, but I still think of him as an uncle looking out, and helping us understand ourselves.
