Tom passed away peacefully in his sleep after several years of failing health on April 14th, 2021 at the age of 77. He was born on January 8th, 1944 in San Francisco to the late Julio and Delphine Pellegrini. He grew up in San Francisco where he graduated from Balboa High School. After graduating with an interest in auto shop and cars, he developed his skills as a mechanic. In 1970 he moved to Concord but continued working in the city where he owned and operated Pellegrini Shell Service for 25 years. After that, he became a MAC Tools Distributor in the East Bay Livermore/Pleasanton area until he retired.
Tom was a big man with a big heart. He was always working on someone's car that needed help. During retirement his love of cars led him to restore his 1955 Chevy which he proudly brought to car shows with his car buddies. Tom enjoyed talking about the past growing up in the city and told many funny stories from that period. He had wonderful friends throughout his life. He was witty and had a great sense of humor. Tom will be missed and remembered by many family members and longtime friends.
Tom is survived by his wife of 51 years Debbie, his sons Tom and David, Daughter-in-Law Sharal, beloved grandchildren Samantha and Vincent and extended family and friends. He is also survived by his brother Robert, nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Funeral Mass and Internment will be held Friday, May 14th, 2021 at 1pm at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1965 Reliez Valley Rd., Lafayette, CA.
