Wayne was our friendly delivery person of library materials to our Daly City Serramonte Library from San Mateo county libraries. I just recently saw the obituary of his passing as I had retired from library services 19 years ago. He was so admired by myself and other library employees for his warmth & friendliness as he made his deliveries. Such a fine person to have known all those years. To his family, I am truly sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Kathy Rivera

In April, we lost our special friend, Wayne Alexander. My sister and I have known and loved him since we were little girls. We are very saddened by his death and we will miss him very much. We will always remember his smile and great sense of humor.
When he would come to visit us, he would sometimes bring fried chicken and French fries, so we gave him the name "Colonel". He loved that. From then on, we and our cousins always called him "Colonel"
Our hearts are filled with gratefulness to have known and loved this wonderful man.
We love you "Colonel" and we shall see you again on that beautiful shore.
Love, Felicia and Shannan Davis, San Mateo

Very saddened to hear of Wayne's passing. He was a great man and loyal cousin for many years. My mom Phyllis and he were very close growing up--"Brother" and "Sis" were their nicknames. Wayne spent summers in Victor and Mom stayed down in the City with Tex and Tillie. So many stories...We had so many fun times, at the Fireman's Olympics, family gatherings and all the rest. Safe voyage Wayne, you will be missed greatly. Love, Mike Phipps
