Strack, David C (1930-2015)

David C Strack, age 85, of Cascade passed away Monday morning May 11th, 2015 in the presence of his wife.

David was born April 27th, 1930 in Cascade, WI, the son of the late John and Jesse (Goll) Strack.

He attended Pershing grade school. David served in the United States Army from 1951-1953.

On August 6, 1966 he married Lois Habeck at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Batavia, WI.

David was retired 23 years after his 37 years of employment at the Kohler Company and farming at home.

He belonged to the American Legion for over 50 years and the Kohler Quarter Century Club for 36 years. He loved to turkey and deer hunt, attend hunting banquets and travel to South Dakota to go hunting.

David is survived by his wife of 48 years, Lois; Two sisters: Alvina Klein and the late Benjamin of Waldo, Marion Krause and the late Elroy of Plymouth; One brother-in-law Larry (Sue) Habeck of Neenah. David had many special family and friends that were near to his heart, which included many nephews, nieces, cousins, along with hunting friends, neighbors and friends of the Waldo Café.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Two sisters Luzetta (Albert) Habeck, and Malinda (Wilbert) Habeck; an infant brother: John Strack Jr. and four great-great nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday (May 17, 2015) at 5:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Rev. Hap Itson, pastor of Zion United Methodist Church will officiate.

Friends may call at the Suchon Funeral Home from 2:00 P.M. on Sunday until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in his name for Zion Methodist Church.

The Ladewig-Zinkgraf American Legion Post #243 of Plymouth will conduct military rites at the funeral home following the services on Sunday.
