Patricia Torrison Obituary
Patricia A. Torrison, 79, of Sheboygan, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2015 at St. Nicholas Hospital.
Patricia was born August 7, 1935, in Racine, WI to Harry and Dorothy (Johnson) Groenke.
She attended Sheboygan grade schools and was a graduate of Sheboygan North High School, Class of 1953.
On October 3, 1956 James Torrison and Patricia Groenke were united in marriage at First United Lutheran Church.
Pat was employed at Lake to Lake Dairy and later PLENCO as an Administrative Assistant.
She was a member of First United Lutheran Church, Red Hat Society, and a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Pat enjoyed knitting, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her husband, James, Pat is survived by her three sons; Torry (Joan) Torrison, Dave (Mary) Torrison, and Willie (Cheryl) Torrison, all of Sheboygan; seven grandchildren, Josh (Kristin) Torrison of Kiel, Amanda (Josh) Dufour of Sheboygan, Adam (Christy) Torrison, Jennifer (Dan Kraus) Torrison of Sheboygan, Nic (Brenda) Torrison of Sheboygan Falls, Erika Torrison of Sheboygan, and Zach Torrison of Sheboygan; seven great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Erik (Alice) Torrison; and many other relatives and friends.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Joyce Gieseke; an infant son, Gordon Torrison; her in-laws, Odin (Gwen) Torrison; and her sister-in-law, Sue Torrison.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at First United Lutheran Church, 2401 Kohler Memorial Drive, Sheboygan. Rev. Todd W. Smith, Pastor, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service at church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
Patricia's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the third floor caregivers at Sunny Ridge Health & Rehabilitation Center, the staff at St. Nicholas Hospital, Dr. Charles Schleevogt, and the St. Nicholas Hospital Dialysis team for the care and compassion shown to her over the years.
