Vivian F. Szczepkowski

Sheboygan - Vivian F. Szczepkowski, most recently residing at Sheboygan Senior Center at 3505 County Road Y, Sheboygan, passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018.

The former Vivian Heckmann was born on May 3, 1927 to the late Herman M and Irma L. Pohl Heckmann in Town Meeme, Manitowoc County. She attended Kiel Elementary and High School and graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1945.

Her marriage to Richard W. Szczepkowski took place at St. Clement's Catholic Church, Sheboygan on November 22, 1952.

She was employed at the Phoenix Chair Co. and the City of Sheboygan School System prior to her marriage. She most recently worked at the Sheboygan County Clerk of Courts Office and retired in 1990.

She is a member of Immaculate Conception Church, former secretary of the Mother of Good Counsel Society, Catholic Women's Charity Club, former Membership Chairman and Secretary, Governor's Health Adviosory Committee, Sheboygan County Democratic Party, former Secretary and Executive Board Member, Member AFSCME Local 62 Retirees, Vice President, After 5 Christian Women's Club, Volunteer at The Homespun Post, and met regularly with classmates from both Kiel and Sheboygan Falls High Schools.

Survivors include one daughter, Connie Bouvier, Huntington Beach, CA; one son, Ric (Peg) Szczepkowski, De Pere, Wisconsin; three grandchildren, Tom Prendergast, Brittany Bouvier (partner, Chris, daughter, Molly) and Patricia (Samuel) Costello; one great-grandson, Brody Costello; three step-sisters, Jeanette Thornam, Northinglenn, CO, Delores Scheidt, Kiel, and Doris (Wilmer) Schueler. She was preceeded in death by her parents, three stepbrothers, and one stepsister.

Funeral services for Vivian will be held at Zimmer's Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center (Hwy 42 & JJ, Howards Grove) on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul Fliss officiating. We will always remember Vivian having a special place in our hearts! I am thankful for the many reminders I have, some shown in the picture! She added the names of her and my daughter and though my daughter is all grown up I treasure and will keep the little sweatshirt! Vi was my Godmother and we will always remember her being extra kind to me and my family!
