James Pruett Obituary
Born December 30, 1979 in Cleveland County, he was a son of James Julius Pruett Sr. and Sherry Pruett of Casar and Jacqueline Elaine Beam Moses of Rutherford College. He was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, survivors include the mother of his children Teresa Rhyne, one son, Seth Harland Pruett, two daughters, Summer Nicole Pruett and Skye Autumn Pruett all of Casar; two brothers, Michael Scott Pruett and wife, Candice, of Vale, Danny Allen Walker and wife, Genny, of Connelly Springs; sister, Amy Nicole Walker and fiancé, Jeremy Spann, of Casar; four grandmothers, Zanie Hudson of Casar, Nancy Huffman of Valdese, Sara Pressley, of Lincolnton and Linda Beam of Maiden; two grandfathers, Don Pressley of Lincolnton and Don Beam of Maiden; numerous nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, and friends.
Visitation: The family will receive friends Monday from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at Stamey Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, 11 a.m., Pisgah Baptist Church. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service.
Burial: Church cemetery

Dear Nephew, We will miss you. I will say prayers daily for your children and Teresa. I agree that you did wear your heart on your sleeve. Many people were appreciative of the great deeds you did for them. Watch over your Mom from Heaven and we will take care of her from here. You have peace in your life now.

Punk, you gonna be missed very much. I always remember you coming up to the house and down at paw paws. It was never a dull moment with you around always picking and joking around with us. Never a day went by that we'd see you without a big smile on your face. Being sad and being around you would never work because you always made us laugh. We love you and will miss you very much!

Punk, I grew up around you. You were my biggest buddy for so long. We shared a birthday i always remembered that. You were always crazy and smiling. I cant believe youre gone. I remember being told about your wreck a few years ago and calling the hospital over and over just to make sure you were still a patient to know that you were at least still living since i couldnt get down to see you! I was so worried, my buddy and dads best friend was going to pass away and now youre gone. :( Its so hard to believe. You will be missed!

Punk was a great and true friend who wanted everyone to like him!! He was the most wonderful person I've ever known! We grew up together as kids and have had so many laughs throughout the years!! He will be so deeply missed! We love you James "punk" Pruett!!!!
