I have many fond memories of working with Mrs. Harris in the Orthopaedic Clinic during my residency. She was a tough taskmaster who cared about the staff and the patients as though they were family. She will be missed by all.

To Linda and the Family, I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Earnestine Harris. I worked with Earnestine on 6KE Telemetry back in the early 90's. She was a very good Nurse and Teacher. She loved to gather young nurses under her wings to teach them and show them the ropes. She was respected by all that worked with her, including the Doctors. She would give them an ear full if they didn't do what they was suppose to do. God has called her home to rest from her labor. Be encouraged family, knowing to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. May God Bless and Keep you, is my Prayer. I worked with Earnestine at The Guest House, where I am the Director of Nursing and she was Assistant Director of Nursing. She was always very kind to our residents and a very hard worker. She will be greatly missed. Rest in peace, my friend.

Mrs. Harris was so sweet to me when I started @ LSU. She was eager to help new nurses like me and did it with a smile. I will always cherish her. God Bless you Mrs. Ernestine! I couldn't have had a better start in nursing without you!

Linda, Andrea, Ashley:
Please receive my sincerest condolences. I weep with you; I mourn with you; but not as one who has no hope. I also rejoice with you because I know that when we too depart this life we all get to spend eternity with her and with the One who died that we might have eternal life. I love you all.

My heart is so full, God called one of his warriors my friend home to be with him. Earnestine was a remarkable person and one of the hardest working nurses I know. She and I travel to Grambling State University together, and worked many years together. My heart and prayers are with the family. RIP, Earnestine.
