Louise Richardson Monk

Funeral services will be held for Louise Richardson Monk, 88, at the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Larry Sellers, officiating. Interment will follow at Colquitt Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mrs. Monk was born Oct. 12, 1925 in the Antioch Community at the home place to Walter C. Richardson and Myrtle Spears Richardson. She entered into rest Saturday, April 5th at Homer Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Mrs. Monk is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Robert M. "Bob" Monk.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary Jo Kayser and husband, Kim Kayser of Shreveport; one son, Richard R. Nolen of Homer; one sister, Sue Richardson White and husband, Hollis Wayne White of Dallas; one brother, Joe Richardson and wife, Erline Richardson of Homer; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Sanders Graf, Rob Green, Nelson Nolen, George Waller, Jody Richardson and Mike Richardson.

For friends considering memorials honoring Mrs. Monk, her family suggests the Gideon's International or the donor's choice.

Mr. Richardson and family, I am so very sorry to hear of your sister's passing. You all are so very dear to me, and I hope the Lord will wrap His loving arms around you all, at this time, and always. Love you all.
