Don Munoz-Gonzalez Obituary
Abilene, TX
Don Angel Munoz-Gonzalez, 96, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church, officiating will be Father Terry Brenon. Burial will follow at the Elmwood Memorial Park Cemetery, directed by Abilene Funeral Home. A rosary service will be held Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. followed by a wake service at St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church, 2525 Westview Dr.
Mr. Munoz-Gonzalez was born October 1, 1918 to Rafael and Martina Munoz in San Miguel, El Alto, Jalisco, Mexico. Don Angel moved with his wife and children from Mexico City to Abilene in May of 1960. At age twelve he started learning the trade of Shoemaking. Worked for James Leddy Boots as a professional Bootmaker for many years. Don Angel was a loving husband and father to his family, who always came first. He served in various ministries and was one of the founding members of St. Vincent's Pallotti Catholic Church until his health made it impossible.
Survivors include his children, Socorro Moreno, Rafael Munoz, Aurelio (Gloria) Munoz, Martha (Luciano) Serrano, Guera (Felix) Zuniga, Norma Edith Munoz, Molly (Harley) Merrell, Francisco Munoz, Isaac (Bertha) Munoz, Vicki (Joe) Williamson, Angel (Rhonda) Munoz and Tony (Diana) Munoz; 39 grandchildren; 73 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his wife, Guadalupe Gonzalez; son in law, Gregorio Moreno; infant, Devin Angel Munoz.

To our beautiful warm Munoz friends, we are so sorry to see that your dad (grandpa, father-in-law) passed away recently. Rodney and I live in Cleburne now close to Marty and his family as well as mom and dad and Lanny and have for a year now.
