SIDNEY -- Frederick E. Hammer, 50, of Sidney, Ohio, was called home to the lord on Tuesday November 23rd, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 29th, 1971 in Sidney, Ohio to Kip and Marcella (Curl) Hammer. On August 22nd, 1992 Frederick married the love of his life Amy (Barnett) Hammer and she survives.
Frederick is survived by his wife Amy of 29 years, his children, Danny Pierce of New Carlisle, Ohio, Dayla (Michael) Smith, Jazmin (Wade Gerlach) Hammer, Ferrara Hammer, and Sierra Hammer, all of Sidney; and one deceased daughter, Mika Hammer; and one brother Timothy (Michelle) Hammer of Sidney, Ohio; three grandchildren, Madison, Barrett, Huntleigh. Frederick was preceded in death by his father Kip and daughter Mika.
Frederick attended Fairlawn High School and Upper Valley JVS. Frederick worked at Superior Auto in Greenville as a mechanic. Frederick was a very special person who had many, many friends. Frederick enjoyed going to car shows with his dad working with cars, listening to rock and roll music, playing the guitar, teaching his daughter how to play softball, and loved watching football especially Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Green Bay Packers, and staying at home with his children, but most of all he loved to spend time with his grandchildren, just like teaching his grandson how to play guitar and eating pixie sticks with his granddaughter. No matter what Fredrick and Amy was together where ever they went he never wanted to leave her or his children alone. Fredrick was a member of Russell Road Church.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 29th, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Salm-McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Gillenwater. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney, Ohio on Monday from 10am until time of service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left for the Hammer family at www.salm-mcgillandtangemanfh.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Hammer Family. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Miami Valley Hospital for all there help and care with Frederick. Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home is honored to be taking care of the Hammer family.
