SIDNEY - Paul M. Bricker, age 97, of Sidney, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at St. Rita Medical Center in Lima.
He was born on June 20, 1927, in Champaigne County to the late Roy A. and Edna Evelyn (Neal) Bricker, Sr. On May 28, 1987, he married Meriam "Jackie" (Zwiebel) Bricker, and she survives.
In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by one child: Penny Bailar of Florida; three stepchildren: Deborah L. (Richard) Berger, Diana R. (Thomas) Jung and Timothy S. McElfresh; one sister: Carol Jean Monroe; six grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Mildred (Brecount) Bricker; two brothers: Roy Bricker, Jr. and Robert Bricker; one sister: LaDonna Barger; and one step grandchild: Josh McElfresh.
Paul proudly served his country as a member of the US Navy during World War II. He was a farmer prior to going to work at Copeland. He worked at Copeland for 35 years before retiring in 1992. Paul loved spending time with his family. He also enjoyed bowling. Paul was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Cincinnati Bengals.
