Cleo B. Anderson
SHERMAN - Cleo B. Anderson, 82, passed away at 10:10 a.m. on Monday, October 13, 2014, at his residence.
Cleo was born February 25, 1932, in Beardstown, the son of Clarence I. and Margaret M. (Shay) Anderson. He married Sybil Williams on July 31, 1955.
Cleo graduated from Beardstown High School in 1950. He then served in the United States Air Force. Cleo received his B.A. from Graceland University and his master's degree in Social Work from the University of Indiana. He worked for the State of Illinois for more than 35 years.
He is survived by his son, Mark (wife, Barbara) of Brandon, Fla.; his daughter, Debra Anderson of Des Moines, Iowa; sister, Clarice Young of LaMoure, N.D.; several sisters and brothers-in-law; his grandchildren, Becky and Melanie of Bremerton, Wash.; and his two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sybil; his parents; his infant daughter, Rebekah; and his son, Paul.
Cremation was accorded by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.
The family will be hosting a Memorial Gathering from 10 a.m. until the time of Ceremony at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2014, at Decatur Community of Christ Church, 5655 Union School Rd., Decatur.

deb, and mark I remember your dad casting a big shadow. maybe that's why we always listen to him with no back talk. but most amazing was to see he acted around your mom with loving care, and stars in his eyes. and that is why we hung around your mom all the time. i'm sure they are together once again with paul preparing the way for us all. love,and prayers to you both.
