Debbie K. Mitchell
Debbie K. Mitchell, 54, of Springfield, died peacefully surrounded by her family at 6:59 p.m. on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at St. John's Hospital.
She was born November 1, 1956 in Springfield, the daughter of Joseph R. and Georgia A. Stone Toigo. She married Robert Mitchell and they later divorced, but remained friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Georgia and two brothers, Danny and Joseph Toigo.
She is survived by her daughters, Brittney (husband, Kelby) Trowbridge and Lacy Mitchell, both of Springfield; father, Joseph (wife, Connie) Toigo of Springfield; companion, Bud Knox of Springfield; four brothers, Jimmy Toigo of Springfield, Johnny (wife, Maria) Toigo of Las Vegas, NV, Joey Toigo and Paul Toigo, both of Springfield; five sisters, Vicki (husband, Bill) Fahey, Connie Olshefsky, Tina (companion, Greg Staber) Toigo, Tara Toigo, all of Springfield and Amber Godfrey of Petersburg; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cremation will be accorded by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.
Private family graveside ceremonies will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Debbie K. Mitchell Memorial Fund at CEFCU, 2424 W. Iles Ave., Springfield, IL 62704.

All the Toigos' were a big part of our childhood in Grandview and have left us with many fond memories. I pray everyone finds comfort in their memories as I will. She was a joy to grow up with. I am so sorry for your loss and pray you find comfort in all comments left here by friends.
