Joan Carol Wiese
SPRING HILL, FL - Joan Carol Wiese, 79, of Spring Hill, FL formerly of Springfield passed peacefully at 10:50 am Saturday, August 18, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born September 27, 1932 in Springfield, IL to Carl and Florence Kinner Lebkuecher. She married Richard "Dick" Lee Wiese on March 8, 1953. Preceding her in death were her parents, a sister, Dorothy Johnson; and a brother Robert Lebkuecher.
Surviving are her husband, Richard "Dick" of Spring Hill, FL; two daughters, Carol (Alan) Goldsmith and Lori Dunn-Landry, both of Florida; two sons, Richard (Sandra) Wiese II of Springfield, IL and Michael Leslie (Linda) Wiese of Florida; ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and three cousins.
Joan was a resident of Florida since 1998, she lived in Springfield, IL most of her life. She retired after 26 years as an instructor of Practical Nursing at the Capitol Area Vocational Center. She was a recipient of the Golden Apple Award in Springfield. She was a member of Luther Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church in Springfield and 1st United Methodist Church in Florida. She was a past worthy matron of the Eastern Star in Riverton, IL. She was very active in square dancing.
Visitation: 5 - 7 pm Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home
Funeral Service: 11 am Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Staab Funeral Home with Reverend Bill Zanton officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
Memorials: Memorial gifts may be given to HPH Hospice, 12107 Majestic Blvd., Hudson, FL 34667.

We are so sorry to hear of Joan's death. We get the prayer chain list from St. Timothy, so knew that she was ill. We have good memories of our 'Dinner for Eight' group and other good times. May you find comfort in our Lord Jesus and his promises.
