Richard REES Obituary

Richard D. Rees

DAWSON, IL - Richard D. Rees, died Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at the hospital from complications of cancer.

He was born Dec. 14, 1933, in Dawson, the son of Charles and Alberta Rees. He married Mary Lee Hulett on March 21, 1953.

He was a member of the Painter's Local 90 for 32 years until his retirement. He loved camping, fishing, and spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Leroy.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lee; a son, Rick (Kathy) Rees of Dawson; three daughters: Cindy Franklin and Bonnie (Tish Hawk) Rees, both of Springfield, and Deana Lair of Morrisonville; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a brother, James (Mary) Rees.

Cremation was accorded by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.

The family will host a Celebration of Life from noon - 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at Richard's home.
