David Weaver Obituary

Sedro-Woolley - David Roger Weaver, 100 years old, of Sedro-Woolley passed on peacefully in his sleep on Monday, January 29, 2024, at his home at Country Meadow Village. He was born May 5, 1923, in Leetsdale, PA.

While at Leetsdale Valley High School, David was a high hurdles star. One of his records held up for 22 years. David was stationed in Cairo, Egypt in WWII and worked on the C-46 plane which carried cargo over the Himalayas to Burma, China and India.

David worked closely with the military and with NASA, where he was an aircraft, missiles and space systems specialist.

David and Vera Mae were married for 72 years and had three wonderful sons, David (Alison), Roger (Diane Celeste) and Bruce Weaver. They were devout Christians and helped start several Presbyterian and Methodist Churches in the Midwest. They loved to dance and square dance while living in multiple parts of the county. David was an avid fisherman and loved to play golf. He was a beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather and will be greatly missed.

His final resting place will be alongside Vera Mae at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.

There will be a Memorial Service at Bethlehem Lutheran Church on Tuesday, February 6 at 2 PM, Pastor Darrel Schoen presiding. Share your memories of David and sign the online guest register at www.lemleychapel.com.
