HELEN MUIR Obituary
Helen was born February 11, 1935 in Paisley, Scotland, the daughter of Adam and Helen Lauder.
She married Campbell Muir in 1956 and immigrated to Canada with their two daughters in 1965. The family then moved to Washington State in 1967.
Helen worked as a nurse in Bellingham for 25 years, then retired to Mount Vernon.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Margaret (Ian) Wilson, Grace (William) Urquhart; and her husband Campbell Muir.
She is survived by her daughter, Kay (David) Strayer; two grandsons, Kyle and Sean; daughter, Julie Muir (Richard Bennett); and nephew, Leslie (Margaret) Urquhart.
A private family service will be held on Bellingham Bay on July 11, 2009. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Salvation Army may be made in Helen's name.

To the Muir family:
I worked in the same office as your mother in the late 1980's. She was a splendid, wonderful person and always pleasant. I enjoyed her Scottish accent. I grew up in Everson and still drive by her old house. May the memories keep you warm.....
