Sorry I am seeing this so late. Leif and I ran track together at UW and despite some efforts to track him down over the years, I never succeeded. But man did we have some great times back then. I remember at times we´d be totally out of breath from our workout and then Leif would crack a joke and we´d be trying to laugh even as we could hardly breathe. Oh the stories I could tell!
It´s obviously you lived an amazing life since we last saw each other in 1982, it warms my heart to see that and I wish your family my deepest sympathies. Rest In Peace my friend.

I haven't seen Leif since dorm days at the University of Washington. One of the things I remembered most about him was his wicked sense of humor and of course his red hair.
I am so sorry for his passing.

Heather...I don't personally know you or your husband Leif, but his accident happened just a few blocks from our home in Monroe. We live along the foothills of Monroe and enjoy watching the paragliders fly over our house almost daily! I have paraglided myself and our son was in a tragic paragliding accident a year ago and besides having broken legs, ankles, arms, wrist, elbows, from the accident, he also had to have his leg amputated just a couple of months ago. I know how heart breaking the phone call was that I got when his accident happened and although I don't know you, I just kept thinking about Leif's family receiving that tragic phone call. I have been praying for you all week.
I'm so sorry for your loss. Please know our thoughts and prayers have been with you and your family.
