Sandra J "Sandy" Sherry

1955 - 2025

Sandra J. "Sandy" Sherry, 69, of 934 Windfall Road, St. Marys, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

She was born December 4, 1955, in Ridgway, daughter of the late Ronald and Christina Machcoviak Bowley. She was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Johnsonburg High School, Class of 1973.

On March 24, 1973 in Holy Rosary Church, she married Brian J. Sherry, who survives. They were blessed to share fifty-two years of marriage with a love to be envied.

In addition to her loving husband, Sandy is survived by two daughters: Tracy Sherry-Burrows and her husband Clinton of St. Marys and Stacy Sherry of St. Marys; and three grandchildren, whom she adored: Kaleb, Serenity, and Patience.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, whom she had a special relationship, Stella Machcoviak "Grammy".

She was a kind and generous person and truly loved being a wife, mom, grandma and "Nanny" as affectionately called by Patience. Sandy's peace and relaxation were found on the back porch beside Brian in their rocking chairs. She enjoyed sipping coffee, listening to the birds and windchimes, and watching the wildlife with a perfect view of her flowers. The porch and being beside Brian was her happy place. We cry because we lost her and smile because we were lucky enough to have her.

Funeral services are being held privately by Sandy's family.
