Albert Hutton Obituary
Albert enjoyed tinkering in his garage on Sugar Island, loved to drive cross country to Arizona for the winter, he was a huge hockey fan, (in fact he was a hockey player himself).
As of late, even though he couldn't walk, he sure took himself on long wheel chair rides down Portage Ave. There were several times the local police had to take him back home.
Albert served in the Navy for several years and then worked as an Engineer on the big ships. He traveled all over the world keeping the ships running, he was the Captain's engineer. He was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion, and the Lion's Club.
Anyone that knew Albert knew he was the most gentle, warm, loving person and all around great guy...
Surviving Mr. Hutton are his sister, Avis McHenry of Sarasota, Florida; and brother, Robert Hutton of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
Albert was preceded in death by his loving wife Belle and sister, Phyllis Champlin.
Memorial services will be held at Hovie Funeral Home on Monday April 3, 2017 1 p.m. with Deacon Bill Piche officiating. Visitation will begin at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the Sugar Island Lion's Club.
