Albert L. Javis Sept. 7, 1924 - Feb. 28, 2015 GRANGER - Albert L. Javis, 90, of Granger, IN passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at the Hubbard Hill Estates in Elkhart, IN with his loving and caring family at his bedside. Albert was born on September 7, 1924 in Nanticoke, PA, to Louis and Antoinette Ojewicz. Albert is preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 4 sisters. On November 20, 1954, Albert married the former Wandolyn Hayes in Mishawaka, IN. Albert is survived by his loving wife Wandolyn of 60 years and their daughter, Pamela (Leslie) Almeida of Rehoboth, MA. Albert was a grandfather to 2 grandchildren, Adam L. (Valerie) Almeida and Kimberly K. Almeida, and great-grandfather to 4 great-grandchildren, Colby K. Carreiro, Camilla K. Carlozzi, Nicolas J. Silva and Jet A. Almeida. Albert graduated from Lafayette College with a Bachelors Degree and the University of Michigan with a Masters Degree. Albert proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, receiving an honorable discharge. Albert retired from Uniroyal Corporation as a Chemical Engineer. Albert enjoyed doing wood working and gardening. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am with the service at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. Burial will take place at a later date at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger, IN.
