It was my privilege during the summer and autumn of 2016 to bring Dan and Jim Holy Communion weekly. I looked forward to those visits and learned a great deal about South Bend, Mishawaka and a variety of other topics. We had some wonderful visits. I greatly admired Dan's devotion to faith and his family. Going to Mass was not easy plus Dan participated in many other activities and always included Jim though the outings could be exhausting. Dan was upbeat and bragged often about his daughter, son-in-law and especially his beloved grandson. His daily devotions were certainly admirable. I know he resides with Christ.
