SOUTH BEND - Joyce Annette Wiegand, 83, of South Bend died Tuesday, January 23 in Healthwin Specialized Care. Joyce was born August 27, 1934 in Cleveland, OH to the late Lena (Tartaglia) and Joseph Piten. On June 4, 1955 in Cleveland, OH, as Joyce Piten she married James T. Wiegand, who died in 1992. She was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Wiegand and her brother, Alan Piten. She is survived by her sons, Michael Wiegand (Rebecca) of San Diego, Ca, Joseph Wiegand (Traci) of South Bend, and Steven Wiegand (Kate) of Granger; grandchildren, Charles, Joyce, Rosalinda, James, Maureen, Margaret, Elizabeth, and Daniel Wiegand, and Timothy and Pamela Ginter; and great-grandchildren, Mayla Leal and Zain Wiegand.
Joyce was a long time member of Christ the King Catholic Church and was a member of the Christ Child Society.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 27 in Christ the King Catholic Church. Friends are invited to visit with the family TODAY from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Rd., where a Wake Prayer Service will be held at 6:30 p.m.

Oh Joyce... This breaks my heart... I'll always remember u coming down to eat and tell me u was mad cuz the nurses didn't do ur makeup right... And u thought it was cool that my daughter shared ur name... May u rest in paradise...
