Katie Babbs Obituary
NEW CARLISLE - Katie L. Babbs, 21, of New Carlisle, IN, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2011. Katie was born on December 28, 1989 in South Bend, IN. She had attended New Prairie High School. Survivors include her son, Mason J. Barnes; her mother, Teresa (Rod Thompson) Vega; her father, Ronald (Diane) Babbs; four sisters, Samantha (Greg) Greenwood, Gina (Jason) Fritz, Erika Thompson, and Wennesdae Thompson; six brothers, Alex Thompson, Jeffrey Stambaugh, Haeden Thompson, Roy Babbs, Connor Thompson, and Gavin Thompson; her paternal grandparents, Roy and Beverly Babbs; many aunts, uncles, and nieces; one nephew; and many other family and friends. Katie was preceded in death by her brother, Jessie Stambaugh. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m., E.S.T., Sunday, July 10, 2011 in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert Street, New Carlisle, IN. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. I may not have really known you personally, but I still wish that you are at true peace and that your memory lives on through your family and friends. I send my deepest condolences to the family and to her son Mason. Mason just know that your mother was a good person and that she loves you with her heart and soul.
