Richard Allan “Rick” Wolf

ELKHART - Richard Allan “Rick” Wolf, 66, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away due to an automobile accident on Tuesday, June 19. Rick was born in South Bend on October 27, 1951 to Robert and Dolores (Smith) Wolf. He graduated from LaSalle High School in 1970, from Indiana University of South Bend in 1974 and attended graduate school of Central Michigan University. He worked for many years in various locations of the country, managing the care of mentally ill patients. He also worked for 13 years for the State of Indiana as a surveyor of various mental care facilities. Most recently he had been an active advocate for people with disabilities and was the founder of the Elkhart Advocacy of the Disabled. Those people who loved him dearly are his mother, Dolores Wolf, his father, Robert Wolf (who passed in 2009), his brother, John Wolf and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and many extended family. A memorial service for Rick will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday June 26, 2018 at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, where friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
