INDIANAPOLIS - Sheldon L. Grame, 65, died at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26th, in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born on November 24, 1944, in California, to Benjamin Franklin and Hattie (Lang) Grame Sr. He was a United Methodist minister of the Indiana Conference, 1971-present, served many churches, his final charge was chaplain of Wesley Manor. He received a B.S. from North Central College, was an Army veteran of three years service, and was "The Ole' Theologian" with a gift of word and speech who added a liberal twist. He married Terrie Smith and they were later divorced. On March 29, 1983, he married Pam Parker Turner, who survives. Also surviving are his father, Benjamin F. of San Diego, CA; three sons, Aaron Turner, Lafayette, Stephen Grame, Hopkinsville, KY, Travis (wife, Laura) Turner, Indianapolis; four daughters, Robin (husband, Chip) Ashlery of San Pierre, IN, Heidi (husband, John) Mullins of Clarksville, TN, Katrina (husband, Rick) Creitz, Lafayette, and Hope Grame (fiancé, Luke Zeller), Mishawaka; brother, Benjamin Franklin (wife, Jeannie) Grame Jr. of LaJolla, CA; three grandchildren, Booke, Chelsie and Natalia. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Amanda Reid Memorial Chapel, Wesley Manor, Frankfort, IN, with Rev. Chet Mahan and Chaplain Ron Mann officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Genda Funeral Home, and one hour prior to services in the Amanda Reid Memorial Chapel, Wesley Manor.
