MISHAWAKA - William M. Bonney, 67, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021. William was born in Mishawaka, IN, on February 19, 1954, to the late Robert Sr. & Kathryn Emma (Sudlow) Bonney. On June 4, 1983, William married the former Nancy Schwilk who survives. Also surviving are his children, Shawn (Melissa Sterry) Bonney and Kimberly (Scott Sriver) Bonney; grandchildren, Brooklynn Kovach, Bryanna Kovach, Brystal Kovach, Granger Sriver, Tatum Sriver, Brayden Baumann, and Sabrina Sriver; siblings, Judy Bozis and Sandra Fulton; mother and father-in-law, Catherine & Donald Schwilk; nieces and nephews, Michelle and Joe Ketchmer, Ralphie and Kathy Mancini, Angela Mancini, Katherine Schwilk & Mark Fritz, Dawn Bonney, and Julie (Martin) Houston. William is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Robert Bonney Jr. and Patricia McDavid Bonney.
William worked as a truck driver for many years and drove over a million miles during his career. He also owned his own construction company. William was an avid NASCAR fan who loved cheering on his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt Sr. He enjoyed watching sports but especially liked football. He also loved to travel.
William was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and favorite uncle. He was like a dad to so many kids in his life.
Visitation will be 5-7 pm on Monday, May 17th at Hahn Funeral Home in Mishawaka with a Celebration of Life to follow at 7 pm in the funeral home.

We were neighbors when we were kids. We had a path through the empty field (before Jefferson Manor Bowling Lanes was built) from our house to Billy’s house. My brother, Billy Watkins, and myself spent a whole lot of time in the field, and on the go-cart track his dad built for us. A great guy as a kid and sounds like a great guy as an adult.
