EMMA DELONG
LENORE, W.Va. — Emma Jean Delong, age 42, of Lenore, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2016, at her home following a battle with cancer.
Born June 1, 1973, in Logan, W.Va., she was a daughter of Jean Brewer Parsley of Lenore and the late Bill Parsley.
She was a graduate of Tug Valley High School, a homemaker, and a member of the Victory
Christian Center.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, William Delong; two daughters: Heather and Makayla Delong, both of Lenore; and two brothers: Roger Stroud of Kermit, W.Va., and Billy Jack Parsley of Lenore, W.Va. Also surviving is a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Sunday, April 10, at Victory Christian Center at Lenore with Pastor Terry Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow in Newsome Ridge Cemetery at Naugatuck, W.Va., with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Saturday evening at the Hatfield Funeral Chapel at Toler, Ky. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service on Sunday at the Victory Christian Center.

Emma, it was my great pleasure to have known and taught both you and William. You balanced out each other. I'll always remember and love you all. Neither, time, distance, circumstances, and not even the grave can keep us from carrying the folks we love with us because we are Members of that One Body, The true and Living Church of Jesus Christ. We are bound by the Holy Ghost and sealed to the day of redemption and so our spirits are together forever, and we carry one another in our hearts for as long as we are alive, and then we go to be together in that land where it's builder and maker is God himself where there is no more death nor separation, and not one single tear drop will ever be shed. So we will soon come too!

Emma was a great person with a heart of gold she would do anything for anyone.
