Colleen Y. Sullivan

Colleen Yvette Sullivan, of East Bridgewater, fortified with the sacraments of Holy Mother Church, passed peacefully November 28, 2016, at the age of 89. Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of James and Irene (Robert) Sullivan of North Easton. A devoted mother to her children and grandchildren and a good friend to many, she was well known for her work at the East Bridgewater Savings Bank serving multiple roles as Vice President and Mortgage Officer. Colleen also had a real estate license which led to serving as secretary of the East Bridgewater Planning board for many years. After her retirement Colleen served on the board of Holy Ghost Church in Whitman. Colleen was a Patriots season ticket holder and enjoyed a good tailgate. She also enjoyed a good walk as many people can testify to her daily power walks around East Bridgewater. She will always live in her family's hearts. In life, they loved her dearly, and in death she will be missed but never forgotten. She left them wonderful memories. And although they cannot see her, they know she will always be at their side. Preceded in death by her loving son Scott McCann of East Bridgewater and her sister Lorraine (Sullivan ) Smith of Cape Cod, Colleen is survived by her sisters Jeanne (Sullivan) Kent of Richmond VA, Nancy (Sullivan) Huff wife of Charlie, McGaheysville VA, Roberta (Sullivan) Whitmore wife of Roy,Charlotte VT, Margo (Sullivan) Edwards, Irwin TN and her brother Gary Sullivan husband of Luanna of Castalian Springs TN, Her children, James McCann and his wife Mary of Whitman, Robert McCann and his wife Maureen of St. Louis, MO and Colleen (McCann) Murray and her husband Jacob of Smyrna, TN. Her grandchildren James, Kevin and Victoria Murray of Smyrna, TN and Jennifer McCann of Whitman. A funeral Mass will be held at Holy Ghost Church, 518 Washington Street, Whitman, Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 9 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
