Delfina P. Pranic

Delfina P. (DeMatos) Pranic, 60, died Monday, July 4, 2011, at the Brigham & Womens Hospital in Boston, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of Michael Pranic. Born in Lisbon, Portugal, she came to the United States in 1979 and settled in Stoughton. She was a resident of Stoughton for over 25 years before moving to New Bedford six years ago. She was a member of Clube Luis de Camoes in Stoughton. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, traveling and spending time with her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Ivan M. Pranic of New Bedford and Kathryn L. Dacier and her husband Briar of Rhode Island. She was the sister of Nelson P. DeMatos of Portugal. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Lilliana Dacier, Isabella Dacier and Logan Dacier. Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27), Stoughton, Saturday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton, at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours Friday from 5-8 p.m. Burial will be private.
