Bob was an inspiration to all, even the newest of members! He never made you feel anything but welcome, even if you knew nothing about spinning. He was determined to give you all that he had to offer! You were a special person Bob, and will be sadly missed! Your smile at the desk will be ours to remember forever! RIP

I was so heartbroken to hear the news today. I haven't been to the YMCA for some time now but had been planning on going back after the Holidays and specifically to take Bob's spin class. He was simply the best. A truly wonderful spirit that I enjoyed listening to sing and pump us up for the one hour of spin. My sympathies to his wife and family. I will truly miss him.

I met Bob inquiring about spin last Spring. I knew immediately he was passionate about spin and that I had to take part. I was deeply saddened when I learned of his passing.
My deepest Sympathy go out to the Murphy family.

My sincere condolences to Anne and Bob's family.
I never met a man with so much passion and energy for the spinning success at the YMCA.
His peak conditioning was amazing. His respect and compassion for all of us who were brave enough to subject ourselves to Bob's classes will never be forgotton. I often walked away exhausted and kidding Bob that he was trying to kill me!!
Our connection to Norwich University was a favorite topic of conversation and his name would often come up when speaking with his classmates. He was loved and a respected member of the Corps of Cadets.
Keep spinning my friend. I'll try to keep up when we meet again.
Norwich Forever!!
With deep sympathy to the Murphy family

I'm so sad to hear this news. Bob introduced me to and instructed me in spin at the Y. With his loud YEAH!!!! echoing throughout the land and cool playlists, he was a jovial force. He will always remain a true inspiration to and a reminder of genuine optimism for me. My heart is heavy for our loss of him but happy to have had my life touched by his.

Bob was a man that brightened any room. I had been blessed with Bob in my life for a short time. He ALWAYS had an upbeat personality which made him great company. His energy level was of a teenager...........he will be greatly missed.
