Shannon was more than just my daughter, she was a big part of my life and reason for living. From the moment she was born, I knew she was going to be someone special, so full of love and "hell" at the same time. She had a place in her heart, in her world, for everyone and without her family and friends, she considered herself to be of no use. Everyone who knew her, even if only for a moment in time, loved her - drew from her fountain of goodness and she will be missed by so many for so many reasons. I cry for you, Shannon, because I miss you so. But I know that eventually I will find peace and understanding - and my tears of pain will become tears of joy when we are reunited one day. Love, Mom <3

Jessa, thank you for calling me, what shocking news.
To Jackson, Jeff, Jessa, Kibbey, Allyssa, David, and those many family members I haven't met yet, I am so tragically sorry for your loss.
In the years that I have known Shannon, and through the countless hours of conversation shared between us, few things stayed constant. With all of the joy, through all of the challenges, after many changes, her family remained her focus.
Passionately defending her family, near and far, above disagreements and in the true spirit of love, Shannon was always thinking of you. You were here foundation, the fuel of her spirit, her world. We have all lost a favorite, but you, her family, have been robbed.
I am comforted to know that Shannon had a strong faith in herself, and in those who loved her. Draw upon your love for her and find strength in her faith. Shan loved her family and her friends, and she expects us to take care of each other.
Love to you all
Rich

Jeff, Jackson, David and Alyssa no words can express the loss that we all feel. Shannon was like a second daughter to me and shared Jackson with me everytime I came home from NC to visit regardless of her plans. Shannon was the most loving person I know. Her heart was full of love and the love of living. She will be missed and loved forever. Shannon is now an angel watching over all of us. Shannon, we will do our very best to make sure Jackson feels all the love and security that you would have provided to him. Rest in peace and know that you are in our hearts forever.

To my twin. I will miss you dearly and loved the short time we had. I was sad when you were not in in school. I spent the day crying. To her babies she was talking about you two right before she left school that day. Saying how Much she loves you 2. Her favorite memorie was when she brought her boy to the bank and you guys were going out to eat. The bank lady said she was hungry too. He replied nice to meet you hungry. She was laughing so hard about that. She also was saying What a great dad he had and how he dose a great job. ( dont let him play video games to long though.) She was also saying how excited she was for her oldest going to collage and how she couldnt wait to take a trip down there. She is really proud of you. Its sweet and sad you two were the last people she talked about that day before she drove off from school thought you two should know she loved you guys alot.

Jeff, Jackson, Alyssa and David

It will be the little things
that you will remember,
the quiet moments,
the smiles, the laughter.
And although it may seem
hard right now,
it will be the memories
of these little things
that help to push
away the pain
and bring the smiles
back again.

Shannon,
You were the best step-mom that any kid could ask for. We were slow close and you were the closest thing to a mom that I ever had. It was so sudden that this had to happen to you. I promise that I will take care of the family as best I can. I know besides you and Gram, I am the next closest thing to a mom Jackson has. I will try my best to keep him happy and healthy and help David and Dad get through this. I love you very much and I am sorry I was never able to tell you. I miss you so much and regret that we couldn't have spent more time together before you passed away.

I love you dearly.......
