Claire V. DeFranco

Claire V. (York) DeFranco, of Quincy and Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2018, at the age of 92. Born in South Boston to the late Albert and Mary (Brennan) York, Claire has lived in Quincy for many years. Prior to her retirement, she had worked as a terminal agent for Delta Airlines for many years. In her later years, Claire and her late husband, Bobby, would enjoy spending time on their boat at Marina Bay in Quincy during the summer months and then winter in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Claire will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Claire was the wife of the late Robert "Bobby" DeFranco, mother of the late Robert Sarge Haley, dear mother-in-law of Conni Haley of Randolph, devoted sister of Marie Barry of Stoughton, Bernadette Carey of Peabody and the late Arthur Walsh, Mildred Vuilleumier, Audrey Fahey and Beverly Stack. Loving Nana to Robert D. Haley, Gena E. Haley and Gillian C. Haley. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (Rte. 28), Randolph, until 9 a.m. on Friday, February 9, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 211 No. Main St., Randolph.
