Elinor M. Marshall

1934 - 2016

Elinor Marie (Schauer) Marshall of Mashpee, died on September 5, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Robert W. Marshall, she is survived by her children, John (Gretchen) Prendeville, Kevin (Shelia) Prendeville, Karen Prendeville, Lisa (Mark) Mueller, all of Massachusetts, Robert (Susan) Marshall, John (Diane) Marshall of New Hampshire, Timothy (Nancy) Marshall, Heidi Marshall, and William (Susan) Marshall of Florida and the late Stephen C. Marshall, formerly of Vt.; her sister, Elizabeth (William) Conley of Massachusetts; 23 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; and her adopted son, David Ames of Massachusetts. She was born August 8, 1934, in Quincy, to the late Arnold D. and Irma L. (Pratt) Schauer. Ellie worked for the town of Marshfield as a secretary at Martinson J. High School. She then worked as a secretary at the Keauhou Country Club in Kona, Hawaii. She moved to Mashpee in 1987 to be closer to her family and worked as a secretary at the Wianno Club in Osterville until her retirement. She was always quick with a joke and the first to help a friend. She enjoyed her twice weekly card games with her many friends at the Mashpee Senior Center. Loved by many, she will be missed by many. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 74 Algonquin Ave. at Rte. 151, Mashpee, followed by funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
