Maria,
I was driving home tonight and on the radio I heard that there is a memorial service for Jamie Cochrane, I had to pull my car over. I wish that I could have been there for you, I am so, so sorry...I always wished that I could have the kind of love you had with him, and I can not express how sad I feel for you. I have tried to get your number but the only luck I had was your address, so I will send you a note, and I hope I can see you soon. I love you, and you were always someone I never forgot and thought of very often. I could never give enough sympathy to you, to let you know how deeply sorry I am, what you have endured so far in this life is beyond what I could ever imagine.
I love you.....

To the Cochrane family,
Just a note to let you know that you are not forgotten during this holiday season. I knew Jamie back in high school and later in life was able to work with him through our different jobs. He was a great guy that loved life and his family. These will be the qualities that he will always be remembered for.
God will continue to watch over during this difficult time.

Casey Ridge and I would like to send our express condolences to the members of Cochrane families for their loss of member of Quincy Police Officer: James M. Cochrane.
James was really good gentleman and very strong passion with his law enforcement career and good father into his parenthood responsibility.
He cared everyone in city of Quincy when he was on the duty at Quincy Police Department while he wearing his police uniform to protect and served when he started on day or night patrol in the neighborhood.
Most of all, our nation is now praying for the family and friends of James Cochrane.
I believe that he is a very good police officer and he is showing with a lot of respect and many friendship to care with their partners at Quincy Police Department.
Please accept this message to the family.

God Bless Jamie and his family. He stood in a pouring cold rain in Brockton in honor of my mother. He led the procession to the National Cemetary at Bourne. Freezing cold & soaken wet, he was upbeat and very professional. He was an amazing cop. No one ever spoke ill of Jamie, but more important - Jamie never spoke ill of anyone. We'll miss him greatly at the QPD.
God bless him.

Jamie will be greatly missed. It will never be the same going to work and not seeing his smiling face and listening to his hilarious and very animated stories. Jamie was the perfect combination of a man who was tough as nails but also the nicest person anyone will ever be lucky enough to know. I certainly consider myself lucky for having the honor to have known him and call him my friend.

Just thinking of you all tonight, Maria and Jamie, and the Cochrane and Styles families.
I hope thinking of Jamie's laugh will make you smile whenever you're sad, and that the outpouring of all of us who love all of you, will comfort you every moment of your lives.
You're truly a beautiful representation of an amazing family. To imagine what contributions you all made collectively to Jamie's life, and the unique legacy he has left behind in memory, hopefully will assure you with constant warmth and peace.
Remember how proud you should be as his family, because those who knew Jamie attest to that with certainty and gratitude. He was an amazing, incredibly special person.
You're remarkable in your testimony for having had to endure this, and please know always how deeply respected and deeply loved you all are.
I know God will bless you for always and I have been praying for you, I will continue to pray for you every day.
All my Love especially to you Maria, because you mean the world to me. I treasure our friendship and the many ways Hannah and I both have been blessed to have you in our lives. Love you so much, we're ALWAYS with you.

September 20, 2006
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

I’ve read through this guest book so many times and have struggled to come up with the right words. I called Jamie my cousin, although I suppose technically his mom Elaine is my cousin. Jamie and I were born less than a year apart and so many of my fondest memories of childhood involve Jamie, his laugh, his smile, his willingness to join in our extended Keefe family adventures (also known as mischief). He was a favorite of my parents and it seemed like he was just always there (“Hey Uncle Joey”), almost like a brother. As we grew up, we saw each other less and less – something I certainly regret now. But no matter how long a time had passed since I last saw him, he always had a way of making the time melt away with his warm greeting – always “Hey cuz” and a big smile and a warm hug and it seemed like we were just as close again. He was a truly great kid who turned into a truly great man – I am so very proud to have called him family. I will remember and miss him always. To Aunt Elaine and Uncle Eddie, and Cousins Eddie, Tommy and Judi, to Aunt Gert and to Maria – please know that I am thinking of you and holding you, and Jamie, close in my heart. Love, Sari

To Maria and the entire Cochrane Family- I am one of the many who knew Jamie from high school and I will never forget how sweet and kind he was. Even as we all grew older and many of us moved away, to still run into Jamie in Quincy was as if you saw him everyday- still quick with the hello and that smile of his that is unforgettable. I will never forget him and I know that we are all better for having known him, but worse off for having lost him.
Rest in peace Jamie and know that you were loved.

Dear Tommy, Eddie and Judy:
We are deeply saddened to learn about the loss of your brother Jamie. Jamie was instrumental in writing the safety policies that , to this day, are still in place. We are still in awe of his go-carting skills. The summer he put half of the riders(including relatives) into, or completely over, the tire barriers is still talked about to this day.
Words alone cannot express our heartfelt sorrow over your brother's passing. In honor of Jamie, our Management team has renamed turn four of the go-kart course. It will heretofore be known as "Cochrane's Curve."
We also welcome all of Jamie's relatives(young and old) to come and ride anytime, and we guarantee no one will receive a life time ban.

To Family and Friends: No words can reflect what we have lost. A million tear drops seems too few. We all have our "Jamie" story to remember. As long as we continue to love and nurture family and friends Jamie will never be forgotten. He is forever a part of the threads that make our lives what they are and what they have been. Jamie's love of life and family will continue in all our hearts. It was a blessing to share another loving and joyful family moment together at the 30th Anniversary of Camp Run-a-Muck 2006.
We will always....Represent!

To the family of Jamie Cochrane. I am deeply sorry for the loss of your son and husband. I have not spoken to or seen Jamie since moving to Florida in 1993, so searching for the right words are difficult. After reading all the kind words about Jamie that knew him well, I think it is fair to say that Jaime was a great person, great husband and great son! "For those who much is given, much is expected." I think Jamie lived life to it's fullest! Any person who swears to protect the lives of others is a very special person! Jamie is special! May you all take comfort in knowing how many people loved and cared about Jamie! He has touched the lives of so many! The World has lost a great person, but God's army is stronger now!

I cant even begin to express my sadness. I was Jamie's cousin. I havent seen him since i moved to Florida. We all used to play in New Hampshire. I lived near by on Elliot ave, and used to play with Judi. I still have the picture of me Dawn and Judi at the gong show in New Hampshire when we were 5 or 6. I had seen recent pics of the family from the camp runamuck vacations when my mother (Janice) and aunt (Denise)went the last few years. It seems everyone had grown but all looked the same. I worked with Jamie for 7 years on the first half shift. I can personally tell you if I came to work having a bad day his joking would always cheer me up. He was like the sun when you get a feel of him he warms your soul with laughter. I can honestly tell you I never heard him speak bad of anyone. I believe this is why the Lord took him, because the Lord thought he messed up and sent an angel to earth by mistake!

fond memories of the "smilin" kid keep rising in my mind, imparticular
vacations at little squam, when I held jamie between my arms for his first water ski trip around the lake and the excitement in his yells
until we wrecked in the sand at the shore, he was scared, almost cried and then broke into that now famous grin. He so enjoyed my ghost stories

He made a very dark time in my life a bit brighter even though it was the darkest part of his own life. He is like that. Truly thoughtful and sincere and positive. He will be so intensely missed by such a huge number of people for that reason.
We know he will take such great care of Mia and Caroline but we just wish so very badly that all of them were here with us. My love to you always Maria...
