Michael Kaplan Obituary

Michael A. Kaplan, of Braintree, died in a motorcycle accident on Sept. 27, 2012. Michael was a graduate of Braintree High School Class of 2009 and currently a senior at Regis College in Weston were he was a Biology Major and the Captain of the Regis College Lacrosse Team. He will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him. Devoted and loving son of Ronald Kaplan and Luann (ODonnell)) Kaplan, both of Braintree. Loving brother of Matthew J. Kaplan of Braintree. Also survived by two uncles and a host of friends. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4 - 8 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home, South Weymouth, at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hosp.) Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 a.m. Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree at 10:30 a.m. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery Weymouth. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michaels memory can be made to the Michael A. Kaplan Memorial Fund, C/O South Shore Savings Bank. Dear Mat and Parents,

It was a deep deep sorrow and a heart wrenching feeling that clouded over me when I learned of Michael's tragic death.

I had recently seen him at Harbor Freight and we had a nice conversation about past memories,his college attendance and his future plans. I came away thinking what a great young adult he had become!
