Paul Allen Obituary

Paul W. Allen of Randolph for the past 52 years, journeyed swiftly and peacefully to be home with the Lord October 3, 2015, at the age of 80, after a 9-year courageous fight with prostate and bone cancer. Beloved husband for the past 30 years of Nancy J. (Anderson) Allen, he was the loving father of Christopher W. Allen and his companion Lori Hawkins of Pawtucket RI, Kimberly J. Mulkern and her husband Daniel of Bridgewater and Jeffery P. Allen and his companion Maggie Orell of Wilton CT.; devoted brother of Barbara Allen and her companion Steven Dobrovoloski of Ruidoso NM. Proceeded in death by his 12 siblings. Also survived by 10 grandchildren; 3 great-granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews. Paul was born in Blue Hill, Maine. He grew up in Brooklin, Maine, and graduated from Brooklin High School and Franklin Institute in Boston. Paul was a longtime employee of Dorfman Jewelers of Boston. He was a Korean conflict veteran who served in the U.S. Navy. Paul will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to have known him. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home 419 N. Main St. (rt.28) Randolph. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 pm. A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning in Faith Lutheran Church 201 Granite St. Quincy at 10 a.m. Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. My prayers and condolences go out to to you, Nancy, and to all of Paul's family. Paul was a prince among men and a true gentleman. He was always willing to go the extra mile for others. He was a man of strong principles and a kind heart. May he continue to influence us all as a role model. And may he rest in peace.
