His most recent course was to Senegal, West AFrica, where he was a great help and steady participant. He spoke of his brother and clearly loved him deeply.

I remember hearing about you going to BHS this year and how excited everyone who knew you was. Everyday i see things that remind me of the joy you could get out of simple things anyone else would have overlooked. Everybody always gets a laugh out of something that reminds us of past memories with you. We will always remember you for your original personality that put a smile on anyones face. I'll remember you as a leader and brother who was always available for any of his friends.

Unfortunatly there are no magic words or deeds to ease the emotions felt during this kind of grief. Please know that I still see that little boy smile, taking his sweet time as he walked home from Ross while I waited to cross him. And all the time Chris spent with your boys as well. I only had the privilage of meeting Richard on several occasions. I only wish I could have known him longer. When I first met him, I thought he was the most kind young man. Its hard to lose a friend, but Richard was more than a friend to us, he was our brother. Rich was a great person and a great friend. He was loved by everyone for his hilarious jokes and strange drawings. He could make anyone laugh and could always make the most serious situations hilarious. He was my closest friend. I hung out with him all the time, and those times are now the fondest memories I have in my life. But Richard is not gone. He lives with each and every one of us in our hearts.
