Lucille M. Edwards
INMAN, SC-- Mrs. Lucille Edwards, 96, of 337 Edwards Road, Inman, went home to her heavenly father Wednesday, June 1, 2011, peacefully, while in the company of family members.
Mrs. Edwards was born in Spartanburg County on May 15, 1915, the daughter of the late Talmadge and Fannie Raines Malone. She was the widow of William L. "Fette" Edwards.
She was a homemaker and a member of Lake Bowen Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Donnie Edwards of Inman; five daughters, Frances Bass and husband Kenny, Sybil Brewington and husband Alvin, and Mildred Henson, all of Inman, Mary Williams and husband Nathan of Spartanburg, and Sara Creech and husband David of Alabama; seven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Ray Edwards as well as two brothers, Fred and Ryan Malone; and two grandchildren.
The family is at the home and will receive friends Thursday, June 2, 2011, from 6:00-8:00 pm at Seawright Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at Seawright Funeral Home at 10:00 am on Friday, June 3rd, conducted by Rev. Kenny McDowell. Burial will follow in Lake Bowen Baptist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are; Wayne Ivey, Brian Ivey, Colby Drake, Andrew Jackson, Jimmy Burns, and Thomas McSwain.
