I worked with Marj Sanders for many years at the Wil Lou Gray Opportunity School; always greeted by her quick smile and uplifting spirit. She had a passion to help the students move forward with their educational pursuits and dreams for the future. She made us all better!!! I fondly remember her as a good friend.

Never has there been a more loyal, caring, and special friend than Marjorie. I treasure the many memories of laughter, sharing, and praying together. She was my mentor,my confidante,my trusted friend, and my son's Godmother. I could not attend her memorial, due to health problems, but my heart is full of gratitude for having known Marjorie Sanders. My prayers are with you all. Marjorie loved her family so very much!

What an influence Marjorie had on my life the summer I served as a counselor at Camp Rawls. (1969) Not only was it a spiritual growing time for me, her delightful personality made every day a joy! She surely made an impact on countless GAs over the years. I still thank the Lord for you Marjorie! Love and prayers to Robbie and family.

I am very thankful for the life of Marjorie Sanders. From Camp Rawls to years later at Greenlawn Church, I was always in awe of her. She was a shining example of God's love and grace.

Marjorie was an inspiration for thousands of young people in South Carolina. I was a counselor at Camp Rawls in 1968. She was a wonderful friend and leader. A whole generation of girls learned about fun life and God through her. I still carry memories of her messages in chapel. She was truly a faithful servant.
