Alan JESSETT Obituary

June 2, 1944 - June 19, 2024

Steve Jessett passed away June 19th, 2024, in Deer Park, WA, two short weeks after celebrating his 80th birthday with family and friends. Steve was born June 2nd, 1944, to A.W Jessett and Elna Jessett, with siblings, Bill (Idell) Jessett and Loren Jessett, where he was raised in Odessa, WA. He was blessed with 50 years of marriage to Barbara Kahler, of Spokane, WA, where they settled in to raise together, Shawna Martin, Cassandra Rose and Jason Miller. Steve was a "greatest of them all" grandfather to 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Most were honored to know Steve from small town Odessa, his 40 years at Holy Family Hospital or running the Deer Park golf course. Wherever Steve was met, it was met with a smile and a story or two. His impact on us all will be treasured and dearly missed.

Family, friends, and all those whose lives Steve touched are welcome to celebrate him July 14, 2024, at the Deer Park Clubhouse, 1201 N. Country Club Dr., from 2-5pm. To view and sign Steve's online guestbook please visit www.lauerfuneral.com.

First time I met Steve at Holy Family about 40 years ago his nametag said A. Steve Jesse´s. I asked what the A stood for his said Almighty but I just go by Steve because the surgeons all thought they were Almighty. Being young and dumb I believed it for quite awhile.
