Barbara Ann BAXTER

1931 - 2021

BAXTER, Barbara Ann Barbara Ann was born on February 1, 1931, the first of five children to parents Minnie and Glenn Ashbaugh in Colville, WA. With her siblings Bill, Jim, Carol, and John, she attended school in Colville, graduating in 1949. Shortly after graduating she married LeRoy Baxter in 1950. Barbara worked for and retired from Safeway where she was a checker. Barb passed away at home with her family by her side on April 1st. She is preceded in death by her parents, her three infant children, her brothers Bill and John, her husband LeRoy, and her son Jerry. She is survived by her children Kathy (Doug) Perren of Benton City, Marilyn of Greenacres, and Tom (Laurie) of Newman Lake, as well as eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her brother Jim and sister Carol. Barbara was the heart of the family and there are no words to describe how much she will be missed. Barb's family wish to thank Carlahn Gayda and Christy Campbell of Hospice of Spokane for the fabulous care they provided her during her final days A service will be held on Monday April 12th at 1:00pm at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA, space is very limited, with a much larger graveside service to follow at 2:30pm at Pines Cemetery.
