Carl L. Decker, born July 8, 1948, passed peacefully at his home on February 26, 2026. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Lynne Decker; children, Tamara, Carl, Jr., Bridget (Joe), and Chase; former daughter-in-law, Heather; grandchildren, Presley, Levi, Kylie, Karson, Kendyl, Ronan, and Morgan; great-grandchildren, Eassa, Emir, Jackson, Jamison, and Lincoln; sister, Brenda Bacon; and special nephews, Rick Bacon and Jeff Decker. Carl worked in the elevator business for 40 years and retired in 2007 as a Gold Card Member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors. Through his work, Carl traveled the world and settled down with Barb in Rosarito Beach, Mexico, where they spent many happy years golfing and opening their home to countless friends and family to share cocktails, sunsets, and laughs on the patio. After leaving Mexico and spending a few years splitting his time between Spokane and North Carolina, Carl spent his last years in Sun City West, Arizona, with Barb and his beloved dogs, where he could avoid the rain and cold that kept him away from his one true passion, golf. Carl was a larger-than-life character who lived 10 lifetimes in his 77 years. Per his wishes, no services will be held. The family will gather at a later date to celebrate his life.
