Carol HAHNER Obituary

Born May 16, 1929, to Oswald and Margaret Hansen, Carol Irene Hahner went to her Heavenly home on March 4, 2023.

Carol was a lifelong Fairfield, WA, community member, confirmed at Fairfield's Zion Lutheran Church, and graduated from Fairfield High School. In 1948, Carol wed her high school sweetheart, Charles Hahner. They were married for 72 years. At the young age of 20, she became known as "mom".

Carol was a "do-er" and always on the go. She was industrious, resourceful, compassionate, hardworking in the field and the home, and loved Jesus. Her life was characterized by her concern for others and her giving nature. She was an innovator and entrepreneur, starting a business called Legumes Plus. An accomplished seamstress, she made quilts for all her family members during her last years.

Carol is survived by her four children, Ron (Marie), Jackie Tee (Bill), Tim (Judy), and Annie Crain (Dennis); plus twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Carols life will be celebrated at Latah Country Bible Church, 411 N. Pine, Latah, WA, Saturday, March 25 at 11 am with lunch to follow. Carol would be blessed by memorials given to her favorite charities: Rosewood Cemetery, Union Gospel Mission of Spokane, or Latah Country Bible Church.

Cheney Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Online guestbook at cheneyfuneral.com.
